WaGG is a monthly social group which had its first
meeting in September 2011.
WaGG is a social and activity
group where you can meet new people, socialise, chat, drink and
have fun. It is for all gay or bisexual gay men who live and
work in Wakefield or surrounding areas. Therefore, if you live
in Wakefield, Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford, Brighouse, Halifax,
Dewsbury or anywhere else for that matter then you would be made
most welcome.
All work and no
play makes Jack a dull boy. The WaGG group is a great
social group indulging in fun activities like having quizzes and
games, group discussions, going on walks and having meals out in
local eating places, having parties and get togethers in each
others homes and so much more. What do you need to attend?
A smile and the willingness to become part of a great group of
people. If you have ideas on future activities and events
then we want to hear from you. Want to come along hassle
free? Great. We want you to come also. We
understand everyone is different so lets be different together.
To come along is completely free. What have you got too
loose.
For some people,
attending a group for the 1st time can be a daunting or a nerve
wracking experience if you don't know anyone. So if you
would like to meet and talk to someone beforehand then this is
easily arranged.
The group is very
welcoming and you will be quickly put at ease. We are a
friendly and supportive group of people. There are
regularly between 10 and 15 people attending each group and the
group is made up of people from all ages and backgrounds.
WaGG, meets on the
2nd Wednesday of each month, at
the New Union bar, 2
Almsgate (off Southgate), Wakefield, WF1 1UZ. It meets from
8pm till 10pm.
The group is a mix of socialising, group discussions and fun
activities. For example, the meeting in November we did a
Beetle Drive and in December, we are going to an Italian for our
Christmas meal and in January a group member is doing
Pictionary. It is all good fun.
This is a brand new introductory
website, which will be further developed over time. To stay in
touch with when this web site is updated or to receive emails
about forthcoming meetings and activities then please

is the
12th September 2012

We are

welcome.
